Default Cranks No Start

Hey Guys my car will crank but not start,

Occasionally It tries to run and will chugging and pop at like 2 or 300 hundred rpm for a few seconds then die.

Vehicle died at about 4K rpm in 1st gear and would start back up.

It is a stock longblock LT1.
Has a 306 cam
10308 Crane Spring Kit
1.6 CC Pro Mags
Ls7 Lifters
Gm guide plates
TFS pushrods
New GM Opti
Cloyes Double roller timing chain
Trifecta Performance Tune

All that was done about 20K ago.
Did a tune up last week.

New TR55s gapped at .045
Summitracing Plug wires

Car ran great all week and was running reall good this morning. I go to leave work and boom she dies.

Has 43 psi of fuel pressure
maintains Fuel Pressure while cranking

Has RPM signal

No DTCs

Has spark at the #3 Spark Plug

Doesnt seem to be making any weird noises while cranking over

Has about 20 psi of oil pressure while cranking

Oil has no flakes or sparkles in it and does not smell like fuel

What should I check next Im lost.

Any Ideas?

Does it crank normally or is it slower?

It cranks over normally

Anyon have any Ideas? I know it has pressure at the rail but Im not 100 percent sure if the fuel is making it to the cylinder, so Ill check Injector pulse tommorrow.

If Im getting injector pulse how do I verify that the injectors are actually switching, once I know they are getting signal?

I know Im getting spark at least at cylinder 3, Is it possible that the opti could be bad and although its sending spark, that its sending spark at the wrong time?

Could be injectors, definately post what you find
If the opti is new like the original post says it should be fine. But if everything else checks out I would go back to it. Hope you get your problem figured out

Ive been told if you stress injectors they can actually lock up. Seems strange that that could happen on all of them at once so It seems unlikely to me.

What drives the injectors? PCM?

Injectors are easy to pull to see if they're pulsing. Their driven off the PCM which gets it's signal from the opti.

I doubt the opti or PCM is at fault as your getting an rpm signal. I'd definitely get the icm and coil tested. You may be getting spark but not at the correct time or intensity.

I was told if your getting spark then the ICM is working and timing of the spark is dependent on the opti

Take the icm to a parts store and they can test it for FREE. That's why Id get it tested.

Timing is dependent on the opti. However a weak coil can make it seem your out of time.
