Switching Mufflers
I'm wanting to go with SLP exhaust, but, I figure it would be cheaper to just cut the magnaflow out and replace it with a SLP LM1 muffler?
Will this work fine, I plan on having it welded in.

on my camaro i just had them remove muffler and replace with pipe and still had two exhaust tips. you could do same with yours and just add the lm1 infront of the rear

Believe it or not but changing out the cannon 3.5 tip on the magnaflow exhaust will alter the sound. will it be lm1 or rumbler loud no, but it is more pleasing. If you want loud and still keep the split exit I suggest the Pypes violator muffler. I bought one put it on and took it off after one start up, granted I did'nt have the tail pipes on BUT IT WAS LOUD. I'd say lm1 loud or slightly between a lm1 and 2. The rest of exhaust are long tubes and mufflex off road y pipe

The exiting pipe on the magnaflow is 2.5in's. Try taking your tail pipes off of your magnaflow and leave the muffler in place. you will begin to see how changing the exiting pipes and tips w/ alter the sound

Do they unbolt from muffler, I thought they were welded? I was going to cut my Magnaflow tips off (theyre welded too right?) , and have my B&B welded on since both pipes are 2.5", I cant band clamp them.

What I was getting at was to remove the exiting tail pipes from the muffler, there just held on with U clamps. yes the tips are welded to the pipe but you can remove the whole pipe as one. Yes you can remove the tips by cutting them off ( this will save you from having a new tail pipes made up ) and have the B&B's welded on.
