I cant speak for the others but i know Colin kept his and just extended the wires for the maf and iat so it would reach. its explained in the link i gave earlier in the thread.

Because there is not enough room to fit the tube between the rad support and A/C condensor. There's barely enough room for it even once the condensor is removed.

if you dont want to lose ac you can do as soxxpuppet did above and cut the support to fit the tube.

i too owe much of the process to Colin.

I tried everything to do this and retain my AC. Only thing that stopped me was the filters wouldnt fit with the condensor in the way. i had to remove the condensor and then the y for the filters slid right in. I massaged the pipe a lot to try and fit it in, it just came down to time and i needed it finished for the shootout last year. i'm running the C5 twin filter setup and the colin miller patented elbow and i have since change the coupler to a rubber piece from hose connects.com. I have a total of 80 bucks in it and i'm very happy with it.

Or you could also do what i did and lower the radiator support Here is the link to that. just keep in mind that if your going to keep the AC. the condenser might hit the battery like it did with mine.
