Teflon tape vs. PTFE thread sealer vs. RTV?
I'm doing brass fittings for my steam pipe setup. I've seen different things talked about for sealing the fittings together and to the heads. What's the best to use? I heard The_Merv say he did his with teflon tape (heavy duty of some sort, I'm sure). I'm leaning toward that, but which thickness, density, etc. to use???

Or has anybody had good results with water pump RTV or thread sealer?
Thanks

Yeah man, a friend of mine didn't want to wait and spent like $20 in those little tubes and had enough to do a couple head bolts before he ran out. He was pretty pissed...
One 50ml tube allowed me to do all 34 head bolts, water pump bolts, all of my AN fittings, and assemble a nitrous-filling station with some left over. Definitely worth the $$$ for the big tube.
