Default Installation of Crank Hub

I have my timing chain dots lined up and the cam dowel where it should be. Where do I point the arrow on the crank hub? And the stock balancer/pulley does not matter on alignment, correct?

Arrow on the hub should be pointed straight up. Align it with the middle line on the bottom of the timing cover.

And do not use the bolt to press it back on the crank. Get the tool or make one yourself.

You're correct that it's position doesn't matter. It's for reference only so do what was recommended above.
