What are you looking to get out of your car? I would give this guy a call or email and he can go over your setup and goals and spec you a cam to do exactly what you want.

Default Lunati voodoo 60121

I have been very pleased with my lunati voodoo 60121 cam...it's pretty similar to a LT4 hotcam, just small enough to pass emissions if needed, awesome torque starting at 2K RPM, good driveability, nice choppy lope to the exhaust. Good street cam with a nice power increase....(Oh yea and my LT1 now pulls to 6400 RPM HARD now) Definitely well worth the effort and cash.

Here's the specs from lunati:
Hydraulic roller, fair idle. Strong power increase in mildly modified engines with excellent throttle response. Will work with stock converter in 383 and up size engines or 2200 RPM stall speed converter in 305-350 cubic inch engines. Likes 3.23-3.73 rear gears. Also the largest cam for inboard/outboard marine applications.

* Advertised Duration (Int/Exh): 270/278
* Duration @ .050 (Int/Exh): 221/229
* Gross Valve Lift (Int/Exh): .515/.530
* LSA/ICL: 112/106
* Valve Lash (Int/Exh): Hyd/Hyd
* RPM Range: 1800-5800
* Includes: Cam Only

Need your goals with the car. Then call LE or Ai with your goals.

Although I'm happy with my cam, I can't help but think I'm leaving power on the table cause I didn't call. Ill be giving LE a call for my next cam.

thanks guys for the responses, not looking to spend a fortune on a cam until i go with some AI heads and custom grind which will be in a couple years, just wanna see what i can get out of what i have with an off the shelf cam. sorry forgot to put goals of the car. most just get it out in the summer and tear up the streets and also see the track maybe 5 times in the summer, driveability isnt too big of an issue since i dont DD it but i drive it when its nice out in the summer. So pretty much just a street monster

I think if you're looking for a good outta the box cam, I would go with a cc503. Chas010 went 10.90's with a set of ported heads and there is another person that went 11.90's cam only. These cars were auto cars with stalls. There are countless threads with 6 speed cars making 350whp with just a cc503 cam and full bolt-ons. I have Ai heads and cam and the cams they offer make really good power compared to others but you won't find one used for the price of a used cc503. It's my experience that LT1's run better with a smaller cam. I have run my fastest ET's with the cam I have now which is the smallest cam I've ever run in the car. If you want a cam that will make the most power go with AI or LE but, for out of the box I say a cc503. Just my .02

For streetability id recommend something in the 22x/23x range, more track oriented something in the 23x/24x range. Off the shelf cams that come to mind that you should be able to find are the cc503, Xe 230/236, cc306, GM 847. Guys have had great results with all of these cams (306 more so with spray). With good heads the 847 will want to spin real high, somewhere around 6800. Same with the 306 with the 847 making more power. The 503 and 230/236 will be revved lower and still make decent power.

you do know a custom cam from Lloyd is like $300 shipped (last I checked atleast) vs 270-290 + shipping for an off the shelf one?

but there's literally like zero price difference but likely a performance difference.

honestly unless you're scoring a good deal on a used one, I wouldn't go off the shelf.
