Also you said you had to clearance near the back seat with how much you did is the rear seat still usable?
I felt the area where the rear seat bubbles were clearanced, I see no reason why the foam in the seat couldn't contour to it, its not a lot.

awesome i have an idea that takes a little bit of a few diff exhaust setups that should flow well and still be budget minded

Me and my cousin have been working on installing true duals to my 94 Z28 for a few weeks now. We cut into the area under the rear seats, sort of made tabs that hammered back into place and welded a plate up to it to seal any open spaces up. This was to make room for the single chamber flowmasters to tuck up into. They fit in really nice with plenty of clearance. Next, we cut a sort of channel from the end of my pacesetter headers to the place where the mufflers are. This was to allow for the piping to tuck up into really nice. Then welded a cut up piece of 5" diesel exhaust tubing to seal it off and look clean.

It looks really good. I'll post pics of it when we're completely done. It's going to come up and over the axle and dump out right after the rear wheels.

thanks for posting that article, and i stand corrected the Borla came 4th in power, but the Flowtech warlocks have a cutout built in so essentially that was open cutouts

Why didn't you go with Hooker Max Flows? They were better in performance, identical in sound until WOT and were 10db louder which is a good thing in my book, not to mention much cheaper.

I'm thinking about these for my TD's....

Ah I gotcha. So how does it sound when you're just cruising around? I'm still on the fence about mufflers... My car is going to be a little louder than yours, plus dumped at the axle, so I really want something that's going to keep the interior noise to a minimum. Dynomax Super Turbos are looking like the way to go atm..... I need to be able to enjoy the sweet *** system that's going in it.

if you look at the numbers they were marginally better in performance, def not somethng you would feel so at that point its really sound preference as well as quality and i can guarantee the borlas are built better.

That setup is around $800 if you went to my guy and used aluminized piping. Stainless would be a lot more

Can you PM your exhaust guy's info? I've been looking at doing TD's on my SS, but have had trouble finding someone competent enough to be willing to do the work. All the idiots I've visited always tell me I'm nuts when I ask them if they can do a TD setup. Everyone tells me there's no way in hell that there's enough room to do so.

I laugh everytime someone says duals can't be done. Everyone told me I would scrape, there is no way I could run them tucked up enough, the mufflers wouldn't fit, no way I would have more clearance than a y setup etc. The proof is in the pictures. So this guy can tuck under the axle duals and he can run the "impossible" dual 3" over the axle with no panhard relocation. He has greater clearance than me and also doesn't scrape or bang anywhere

Yeah every douche bag shop around me looks at me like I'm crazy when I ask about even 2.5" over the axle true duals...

I'm like Yeah, it WILL fit. You want me to bring in pictures? lol
