It may be barely 6's, but with trapping 100 mph in the 1/8th it has the power to run deep into the 6's. I'd guess 6.60's in that car if he got the 60' down. A car running that should 60' in the 1.50 range if set up properly and given some suspension tuning.

You going to tear it down to make sure everything is A1 before you start going to town on it? I bought mine which was supposed to have 4k miles and running mint supposubly and for my own safety tore it down to find alot of wrong and bad put together. If you plan on putting an a lot of power and money on top of that block get it checked out! Could have been alot worse for me if i didnt check anywho instead of going with someone elses word

I agree.....you will probably find everything okay since you heard it run, but it will be worth the price of gaskets to look it over....plus you will KNOW 1st hand what all parts are in there. You don't have to take it completely apart. If nothing else, maybe pull the pan, timing cover, timing chain, and valve covers. You can verify what cam, what rockers, springs, pr, guides, etc. as well as maybe pull a main cap and a few rod caps and look at the bearings.

Yeah if deff will be gone through just for better safe then sorry type thing the thing pulled REALLLLL hard and it has the track times to back up its a strong runner. Took a video of it real bad quality taken on my phone I'll try to get it up. Thing started up like a stock motor just half a turn bam started it was cold when i got there you could tell Oil pressure sat at 60 at idle even after we took a ride. Guy has a stoker carbed SBC ready to go in so just wanted to get that in was a young guy (older then me though) haha

Going to be changing up the cam a lil bit with a custom grind and bump compression up as much as possible with out changing pistons.

I don't think its to bad of a Birthday Present to myself I don't know to many 19 year olds with set up like im going to have LOL

IDK....if the car it's in is set up about like you want yours....then I wouldn't touch it to change anything...just to check it. The old saying "it's all about the combination" is very true and the way it is now must be pretty good to run 100 mph in the 1/8th. It would suck big time to spend more money, change parts, and go slower than it did before.

Yeah but with help of Llyod and stuff I bet he can spec out a custom cam for me and such to help it has the CC306 in it now.

For 1700 bucks pulled and turn key motor........I considered it a decent price

That is an awesome find. Congratulations!! You might pick up a little power, but I wouldn't stray far from the cc306's specs. Like I said, I've seen some combinations that were not supposed to work turn out to be bad ***, and vice versa.

There have been cars galore before the likes of any of the now known/modern head porting rock stars who used the 306 with high/mid/low 11 second results. There is nothing wrong with the cam. It's like any combo, it all has to work together from TB to tires. It's sad, but it seems like only the broke dicks who can't figure out how to make the 306 work get heard and make lasting impressions.

Water pump is a electric one starts with a M forgot the name and such ARP head bolts looks like a OEM opti never seen a black one unless mine is black and has been discolored so much........We are having a get together at the house so can't tear into today this week it will be torn into and see what I "REALLY" got
