Last I checked bolts hold them in place But serious I understand where your coming from........... What about bolt off's? Seats, A/C, powersteering, sound deading, spare jack, sway bar, Crash bars, and so on and so on.. Light weight parts etc etc.

The street stock class at the ltx shootout goes by almost the same rules and is a bolt on only class.

It's good to see new times are still being posted up.
I'll never know what mine would have run now. I was full bolt ons except for TB & RR. 1997 SS M6, 95,000 miles, Pro 5.0, LT's with Hooker CB, ORYP, 4.10's, KYB AGX shocks/struts, tune, EWP, K&N CAI, SFC, DA Aluminum LCA's with relo brackets, DA Aluminum PHB. I think I could have managed 12.75 or so with a good launch. Car is apart now for heads/cam (along with the TB, ported intake, and RR that would have finished my bolt-ons). I think I'll always kinda regret not getting to run it with just bolt-ons, but the time is right for the work. Good luck to all of you. I'm still going to keep up with this.

It is also good because today it is getting harder and harder for the average weekend racer to still enjoy the sport. Sticking to bolt ons and having a meaningful goal to reach keeps the racing spirit alive and well in people. and i know like most of us this is our escape from work and other facits of life that we don't enjoy as much.
From my understanding it is such a simple common mod that they chose to include it in the rules for the shootout. I am going to dig up the article and post it on the orginal post.
