I have the video of that pass from 20ft behind this camera angle. It was at the Thunder Shootout.



I'm pretty sure it was the wheelie bars or the save your *** bars dragging the ground. Nothing major at all.


Crazy to see that car run in person, i got to see it run in Houston in 2005 after HPE did the ls1 nose conversion, while i was setting the bolt-on record.
Word from the locals guys that went by HPE said that the block flexed so much it trashed the rods or crank bearings, after the 8.00 pass.

Isn't that the LQ9 truck block? not the aluminum block ls1. Correct me if im wrong but ive heard the Ls1 aluminum block cant handle much boost? thats why everyone runs the truck block

Yes the LT is iron, we were comparing the LS1 to the LT1, the link you posted was a truck block LQ9. Not that it really matters, i was just talking some **** to LS1 owners.
