parts needed to finish
so I ordered up a glasstek 4" cowl from ebay yesterday, that will be ready in a week. It's a pin-on hood instead of the bolt on that I used to have. I figured it's gonna be a race car so I don't mind it being pin on. I just don't want the stupid *** looking hood pins. Does anyone know where to get a good deal on the Dzus fasteners? (the ones Tony Shephard's running)
I got a good deal on a set of ported heads from Sal, fatlt1 great guy by the way.
So now I'm waiting on painting the car and instead I'm going to focus on getting the motor and getting the car running. Hopefully by then I'll have the money to get all the body work done and then it will get painted.

Lets at least get all we can in primer just so the major work is done. If we scratch it, just touch it up, we will need to block sand the car before we paint anyways.
So I've already posted up in Midwest Classifieds and Parts for Sale. So I wanna know what you guys think they're worth because I thought I was asking a fair price.
They're stock heads with stock valves, pac beehive springs, new valve stem seals, and they were cleaned and decked. The heads have 15 seconds of run time on them, 0 miles, and only bolted to the motor. I've been asking $300 picked up.
But I'd really like an electric waterpump and some front tubular suspension parts.

Verdad Gallardo I spent yesterday afternoon sanding and priming Jasons new "Barney hood" Jasons girlfriend snapped some pictures along the way with my camera so thought Id share them for him...
thanks mike for uploading those. I'm dropping the car off at 9am tomorrow to the body guy and it should be done by Sunday. I tested out on a small piece of sheet metal today, primed and painted it. It's gonna look BADASS!!
So hopefully by the end of next week, the car should be fully in primer.

yes sir....SUPER WHITE to be exact. that is the name of the color. and the body guy I was going to go to ended up being too busy so I've gotta wait til next friday. Once the body work is done the car will sit in primer until I can find a spot to paint it.

Builder is gonna get with me as soon as he is back in town for an update. He crews for a race team and is away at the moment. Orig they said 4-6 weeks not 4-6 months lol. I was hoping to have my junk done by now, but what can you do.

Update: Finally got to drop off the car to the body shop today. Should get it back next week Friday and then I'll get the car in primer probably over that weekend. Once the paint on the outside of the car is done, we'll probably re-do the engine bay and I'm also going to paint the inside of the car a satin black because I'm not using any carpet or interior.
CAR IS BACK FROM THE BODYSHOP!! pictures will go up later tomorrow/today. Maaco did a suprisingly good job on taking car of all the rust hole issues. hopefully over the weekend the car should be in full primer, but I have to get a new bumper because the spider cracks were really deep.
