To be honest have I've never seen any published numbers on the exact weight of a complete LT5. I do know that its a pretty heavy sucker - I've heard anywhere from 100-200lbs more than an LT1. Its definitely a big engine.

There are rumors of a 1000 fwhp LT5 out there - probably a TT setup or running lots of nitrous. They are a strong engine and should be able to handle a goodly amount of power even with the stock crank. As I recall the stroker cranks were prone to crank walk early on. Not sure if this is still a problem.

You might also try www.zr1.net. There are several LT5 experts there that should be able to help you out.
