Default Horsepower question

I hear 3.73 gears are gonna rob me of some top end HP..but say I add Roller Rockers, will i come out even on the top end HP wise? (I read somewhere they add 10-12 HP in the higher RPM's)

Gears do not rob HP.

Yes 1.6s will help.

If you are drag racing, the gears will be more of a benefit.

If you are adding up what each mod gives you to arrive at a mythical HP figure for braggin rights do sum NAWWWZZZZZ!!!!!

Gears dont, bigger rear ends will. Rockers will add roughly 10 at the wheels

people loose rwhp on dynos with higher gear because of the rate the car accelerates on the dyno........a good dyno shop will be able to adjust the dyno to reflect this but 99% of them wont...........never base yourself off of a chassis dyno number.....its merely a tuning tool only........gears WILL NOT rob power.......its a false reading from the dyno......i made 470rwhp with a 4800 converter, 4.56's and a 28" slick.......then trapped 133mph in a 3515lb car.....i think the 470 wasn't accurate how bout you?
