Lt1 longtube headers install?
Okay so I am thinking about installing my long tube headers in myself insted of Payin 300bucks.. Any advice on the easiest way to get the passenger side in? I believe the driver side will go on good it's just the passenger side that makes me second guess doing it myself.

What brand of header are you going with? EGR fitting or no?
Through the bottom is the easiest (maybe only way?), and on the passenger side my only problem was the dipstick, which i had to remove then put back in, and my pacesetters with EGR fittings bumped into this stupid little metal flare on the firewall that i had to file about 1cm.

the air/egr fittings make installing them a pain in the ***. just installed some emission legal pacesetters on monday, such a pain in the ***! lol (also didn't help that the car was a 94 and has the larger transmission case)
i have the pacesetter "race" ones on my car. those ones just slid right in no problems what so ever.

I put both of mine in from the bottom and they slid right in. I had to remove 4 spark plugs so that they would go on easier though. Also had to remove my oil cooler because the primaries were hitting it. It's really not a bad job to do, just sucks doing it yourself.

I was thinking about going with the pacesetter Longtubes. I want the model that don't have a EGR port. I believe the driver side will b pretty easy but thanpassenger side is the side that's having me second guess..

I installed the emissions style pacsetters and for me i personally slid the drivers in from the bottom and unbolted the passenger side motor mount and jack up the motor and the header slid right into place. All cars are different and you'll have to play around with it to see what works easiest for you. Be prepared for cut up knuckles

On an auto car it is far easier to slide a LT header in the passenger side. I'm thinking it's because the bellhousing is shaped a bit differently. Every manual car I've ever done I've had to jack the engine of its motor mount.

It could be a totally different story. Who pissed in your fruit loops today? Anyway, I forgot to add the only headers I've ever installed are Hookers and each install had to be done differently between manual and auto.

Okay so I bought the pacesetter longtubes with the EGR/AIR ports.. I wanted the race versions but came across a deal I couldnt refuse.. Any one think I'm going to have more issues because of the ports? I'm going for it in 2weeks..
