Well I meant like douch bags in well anycar really but like around where im from there are alot of ppl that drive mustangs and they think they own a lambo. I guess I should have made the title of this like wats yalls favorite car to race
Around Im at I see about 50 V6's a day, and about 2 Gt's on a good day. LOL

The only thing they have going for them is that damn supercharger. I find it funny to see some mustang owners who don't know a thing about their cars.
I love to just say something completely wrong about the engine and hear them ramble on about it being a great aspect of it.

I had an 03 cobra several years ago. The car ran a 12.6 at 110 mph 100% stock with only 800 miles on it. I then put on a 3 inch pulley and a densecharger(cold air kit) then it ran a 12.1 at 117mph still with stock tires and exhaust. The only reason i got rid of it was my insurance was just insane. They are very cool cars that respond very well to mods, they are no joke. Now ive seen many 03-04 cobras stock that cant get into the 12's, obviously needing a driver mod! Now the older cobras are another story, no torque at all when compared to an lt1 or ls1. f-body's are nice because there are so few around compared to mustangs. I can drive around and be lucky to see 1 ws6 and probably see at least 20 gt's.
I enjoy ragging on mustangs and fords just to fuel the rivalry but feel no real hatred for them. at the end of the day they're an American RWD V8 car just like us and we're definately a minority on the streets.

I'm a little more biased than I used to be about mustangs. the 03-04 cobras are nasty hands down. With that being said i'm still a GM guy and will always buy GM. Ford had a dry spell with the mustangs from 1971-2010 (except 03-04 cobras) in my book. They were horribly ugly in the 70's and early 80's. the 94-04 mustangs can barely get out of their own way in stock form. I mean when my 18 yr old Formula with 104K can whip an 08 GT every day of the week I thinks that rather embarrassing. Theirs no doubt though that the new 5.0 is an impressive motor, Ford finally got their head out of their ***.

I like Mustangs. Whenever I throw something new on my hooptie and go out for a test drive, there always happens to be a Mustang that pulls alongside and wants to race. I can judge how good or bad the mod I just did was by how many more/less bus lengths I put on them.

The wheel hop issue was more due to idiots not launching the car correctly. If it loses traction the best move is not holding the throttle wide open. I had best luck with a 4k launch and riding the clutch a bit til the car got moving. With that i was able to get a 1.84 sixty foot time on stock goodyears.

I remember in the 90's when i was still modding mustangs that if an lt1 f-body pulled up next to me at a light or at the track, i was nervous. Never felt confident about the outcome because back then lt1's were the s**t. Somehow it seems like the majority of people out there seem to forget that.
