Default ABS inop light

I have a 9 inch in the rear of my car and it doesn't utilize ABS. It's a 95 Z28. So I'm stuck with the annoying light on the dash. I have Tuner Cats, is there any way to get rid of the light with it? Or what must be done to get rid of it?

Easiest thing to do is to pull the cluster and pop out the bulb. That's what I did. On Pontiac's it's pretty easy, maybe a 10-minute job.

It's easy in the Pontiac's. Just pull out the trim bezel, remove the four or so bolts holding in the cluster, then pull it straight out off of the connector. Remove the back, pull out the bulb, reinstall. It's really pretty simple and self-explanatory once you get in there.

After having installed my abs delete kit from SMJ and driving around with the ABS inop lamp I finally got around to turning it off.
I had also removed the EBCM (ABS computer under te dash) thinking this was going to keep the ABS INOP lamp off, but no!

Due to the fact that my car is a 96 Camaro and the instrument cluster is a bitch to remove without breaking the dash cover, lamp removal was not an option.

Well it turned out real easy. Just locate terminal No A7 fom the EBCM C1 connector (24 terminal connector) and ground it with a small wire.

This sounds like a good idea. I have also heard about jumping wires at the module. Any pics of location specifically of the box?

Here is a scan of the connector viewed from the wire entrance side

So tap into that wire with a ground or cut it and run it to ground?

You have to unplug the connector from the EBCM and then ground terminal A7 ( LT GRN wire). It is a female terminal, you can insert a small wire into it, secure it with insulating tape and ground the other end.

If you dont unplug the connector you can cut the wire and ground it. Ground the wire going to the dash, not the wire into the EBCM.
