You had an old pro mag break. The new design is a lot stronger

LOL so 160lbs of seat pressure will cause more stress/flex on the rocker arm tip than 400+lbs open

But seriously like everyone has said, aluminum SUCKS for rocker arms.

True. The ultras look cool, but havent been out long enough to be convinced they are any better.

Spoke to some other folks about this and said that this basically could be the result of coil bind. But after talking to the builder of the engine, he ruled that out altogether. Tend to believe him, as this is a clone engine and that engine has been running strong for the last 9 yrs.

I blame lack of quality control and possibly cheap junk coming from a certain well known country overseas. 918's bit me in the *** several years ago.

You know, I've been aware of that since those suckers were released. But from what I can tell they had a series of bad batches but it was so wide spread, most people simply switch over to beehives or patriot springs etc. I'll replace the rockers and see how things go but in some regard it's silly to do that and not change the springs while in there to begin w/.

A friend of mine had a set of comp's aluminums on his LS1 car; one broke and they sent him a whole new set and had him send all of his old ones back.

Now you guys are scarin' me...I have a set of the GMPP aluminum rockers on my car. It's been about 6-7 years, and 20,000 miles since I installed them (with a set of the LT4 valve springs), but it's purely a street driven car.....

If there are any doubters, I recommend an expedition to Northern Bay county, Florida.

I wouldn't worry about that. I ran those exact rockers on my car for years w/out issue. LT4 setup as well.

I wouldn't use aluminum rockers on any cam that has radical lift numbers, or steep ramp rates.
