I'm worried when my Turbo LQ4 build is done what will happy with my 10-bolt when I switch back to stock 3.23's. (Yes I have a new one in the works)

What do you expect launching a 2-step'd M6 with tiny little 4.10s? .

A properly dialed in auto is much gentler...I left mine bone stock since I didn't want to waste money on what I expected to break the first time out with bolt-ons...but it held fine. Then I did the H/C and SURELY thought it was going to break...but nope, the damn thing is still kicking even now, years later with over 150k on it and not even a TA girdle . Rear suspension helps - IMO it is more to do with wheelhop and poor geometry then actual power breaking them.

Even on an auto they are a gamble though...some lucky SOB can run 10s behind a nasty stroker and someone else will pop one on a bone stock car .

I was launching mine off a 2 step at 5500 ON the nitrous. Did it MANY times before the rear broke. **** load of street racing too. Mine did eventually explode.
Just goes to show you they're a gamble at best ..

The factory rear in these cars are such JUNK, that's why the first mod I made with my latest Z28 was an S60 rear.

I dont know why you even bothered racing considering your launching it at 4500rpm with sticky tires and 4.10s on a stock 10 bolt and kicking yourself why it blew at your power level. Im going to be at the same powel level with my motor on a stock 10 bolt with 4.10s but i wont be launching it at that rpm as i know it wont hold with a sticky tire. If i have the funds for an upgrade this year ill do it up and then step up the launch rpm but we'll see what this summer brings.

However I can't wait to see what it kind of times it will bring with a built rear!

I am not kicking myself that I broke it lmao, I called that happening before I even went to the track lol. I KNEW I would break it.

I AM kicking myself because I didnt even get 1 good pass. I expected AT LEAST 1 solid pass before it blew up, but no. Hell half of the people said I wouldnt break it, but I knew better lol

I bothered with racing because I had already paid good money to race that day and wanted to get a time on a better DA than 9400...the DA that day was 7120. The later in the year it gets, the worse the DA will be...but oh well, **** happens lol. The new rear's fabrication starts tomorrow
