And I strongly suggest you become more acquainted with compression ratio and compression ratio calculators. You can learn alot and they will help you out tremendously.

You don't wanna get a Fel Pro replacement set for an Impala because unless things have changed, it will have thick head gaskets and is the same as their F-body kit. You will be much better off to go with GM or Victor head gaskets and then just use Fel Pro for everything else like the intake, timing cover, valve covers, etc. It's usually alot cheaper going this route than buying a "set" for an LT1 anyway.

Yes the dampener is already 0 for lt1 and you only need to put a weight on the flex plate if the motor isnt internally balanced.
I also dont know how the crank could be balanced right without the rods, pistons and rings unless you sent them that info. I would also have the crank checked to make sure it doesnt need any additional work b4 putting it all together.

Yea, my machine shop is actualy doing the balancing .. Eagle ended up wanting more to do it than locally available .. How about the ring gapping and position? Can u explain quench to me? Block is stock in deck height ... Stock head chambers 6" rods flat tops with 5cc reliefs.. This **** is confusing..

Good call on letting the shop that is building your engine do the balancing.

You have a '96 timing cover, and a '95 pcm? Not going to work, unless you don't care about the whole reason you have a '96 timing cover...for the crankshaft position sensor.
You could use a '95 pcm, but you oughta sell that '96 timing cover and pick up a '95.
