Default Edelbrock Victor Headers are in!

I've gotta say... I was spoiled with those pacesetters for nice fit and great plug access. Geez I had to cut all over the DS k member (stock) remove the oil filter, remove the oil level sensor, drop the k member 1/2", jack the motor up 3-4", and not just remove the column but unbolt the damn rack and move it out of the way On the bright side I got the PS header in in about 10 minutes including all the bolts. I think the DS header was designed on a late friday afternoon before a 3 day weeked because that **** was rediculous! LOL Plug access isn't great on the DS either, but PS is fantastic. New exhaust system....

Edelbrock headers 1.75-1.875 step, 3.5 merge collector

16.5" total collector length (tuned) including 3.5"x9" vibrant bullet mufflers.

I scored em for 500 with collector extensions, great quality hardware, evac setup, gaskets, etc. I'd much rather have these than some ebay pieces. The transition in the merge collector is very nice and although i didn't mic the tube thickness, it's nice and thin so ID is probably 1.70+ at the port entrance

yea only because they looked like cats to avoid getting a huge fine for emissions tampering in case I got pulled over.

I'm running these just dumped now, basically open headers with these "mufflers" to pass the muffler rule at the local dragstrips. The exhaust is 95% optimized for this motor now, only benefit would be a 1/8" jump in primary size.

Weird, I had the opposite problem with plug access and the header install on my JBA's, pass side is really bad, I was only able to do plugs because the headers were unbolted.

I had no idea that Edelbrock made big headers for our cars. I knew about Hedman Husler and Kooks but not these.

I wonder how many people remember Edelbrock made a LT1 intake manifold about ten years ago?? Not the current "air gap" ones. I have never seen one in person, but I have one of their catalogs at home with it pictured and the part number. Didn't look much different than stock if I remember correctly. It was an available part at the time, not a "soon to be released" part that went still born.

I thought they had already quit making the LT1 headers myself, but hadn't checked lately.
