**** yeah slowz28, your car is exactly the same as mine, except mine has no black berger, just black camaro inserts, I have a black billet grill in front, and I have black C6 Z06's... other than that, same car, to a tee! All black and red, 15% tints.

Dude I even think your nose badge is the same as mine, I got an all red one made with black outline and a black chevy symbol near the bottom. Your car is beautiful man, perfect

I have a hardwood hood, but when i got it, it was soo wavey you thought it was a joke. If you do put the time in they do come out nice.

3" Octane Motorsports cowl here...gotta fit the supervic+elbow . It's all opinion but it was the one that I like the look of the most, since the sides of the cowl taper into the hood instead of going straight down so it doesn't look like a stick-on cowl on a stock hood.

Very aggressive cowl with the rib down the middle...don't have any painted pics since its still bare white fiberglass even though I have had it on for 2 years .

Puck, is that a bolt-on or pin-on? How is the fit?

Bolt-on, using the stock latch.

Fit was surprisingly well, I only payed around $500 shipped back in 07 or 08.

Thanks for the info. A friend is looking for a pin-on hood just like that with the sides that taper down into the hood instead of 90* angles. No luck so far.

No problem. You can just not bolt on the hood latch and use a pin on set if you wanted. I doubt it would save any amount of weight to be worth it, unless he wants the pins just for the looks.

I never realized the LS1 and LT1 Camaro SS had different shaped hood nostrils until today.

Hmm this thread got some more life eh? I still haven't painted my car.

lt1slowz28, ever think of getting a short antenna or cutting your stock one down? Your car looks great and it would probably be the finishing touch. I never noticed how much a stock height antenna bothered me until I adjusted to my short one.

I also went with a LS1 style SS spoiler, the harwood + SS spoiler combo is awesome.

corey... why would i do that... the long one helps for when i lock the keys in the car, and here in some parts of tx you can be without a radio station for quite some time with a shorter antenna... learned the hard, silent way with the mustang for both.

besides... long antenna you can put a big raccoon tail or a flag on it.

I got my "harwood" from the widely criticized ebay seller "hoods4sale". I decided to take the gamble and ****, for $300 shipped I couldn't ask for more. I'd say the fit is a 8/10. Needs some light filler for a few wavy spots but it's totally worth it. My buddy bought a ram air hood from VFN, payed around $700 for it (it was for a 96 impala ss) and it fit like absolute ****. We even installed it right in VFN's parking lot...

I think I paid 580 shipped for the harwood, fit like stock, only had one minor blemish in the gelcoat that was fixed easily by my painter.

The cowl on my harwood is fully functional too, you can't even get it that way from harwood themselves
