i had lswho help me out with the tune tonight. after he re-did the tune the first time we both noticed a big difference in how good it pulled, he got rid of a lot of the knock! we still had some though so he tweaked it some more, the car was hitting 10psi though so my dumb *** went and adjusted the boost controller as it had vibrated loose (why it was at 10psi) and brought it down to 5psi on the next run
good news was.. we didn't get any knock at 5psi, bad news was we weren't able to see what it'd do at the 7-8psi level, and of course, it didn't pull as hard that time cause we were only at 5psi.
over all though the car felt a LOT better and now i have a better piece of mind knowing it's not knocking like crazy and pulling the max amount of timing it can (7) from 4-6k rpms! we'll definitely have to mess with it some more to get it really fined tuned but i'm super happy with how it is now![Happy](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_stretch.gif)

I'd like to go to the track for some real test and tune sometime. Only problem is we can only do your car or mine with that pitiful battery... Of course we could use your computer too... I can't do this Friday though.

Hell yeah man get that boost controller set and that wideband working so we can do some more fueling work. I did a couple tweaks after you left so whenever you want let me know and we can do some more test and tune.

the sts kit costs $4-5k and doesn't come with a $150 fuel pump, $2-300 injectors, or $200+ tune
unfrotunately though unless you can fab it yourself or know someone that can you're kinda stuck with the sts kit

42 SVO injectors (used): $200
Walbro 255: $100
Various piping and couplers: $400
Exhaust wrapping and stainless ties: $175
Trickflow intake elbow (because rubber coupler blew off under boost) $80
Catch can, fittings, and hoses for PCV system: $220
Having to cut off a perfectly good Hotchkis SFC = priceless
Motor blown after 900 miles = priceless
In all reality, a lot of little things will rape you on these builds. My motor is ready to be dropped out, and get the full monty of forged goodness. I am keeping it rear-mount, but I am making sure my motor will handle it this time.
