Default Best Spark Plug Wire...

Im just wondering what everyone runs ? I currently have MSD wires, but im going to be changing them out soon. Afew of them had some close calls with my header primaries

So what does everyone run for a stock location wire ?

I'm using Jegs 8mm wires. They've worked great!

I went with the MSD 8.5mm Super Conductor 32149 wires on my 93 Camaro Z28 with stock routing. While the wires have been great and no heat problems with my headers (I have the high heat boot protectors on them) but I had to fight like hell to get them into that guide that routes them around to the passenger side due to their size. If you are thinking of running larger than 8.5mm you should probably consider an alternate routing. I do not know what kind of performance drop you would see by going to the 8mm MSD wires (or anyone's 8mm wires for that matter) but they would be alot easier to route through some of the tighter stock locations.

Hmm I'm using duralast wires, so are a few people I know, no issues with them. Cars are mostly stock, one has a hotcam.

MSD 8.5 routed in all kinds of fun directions. running some under the motor mount definately helps.

no boots or sheilds here, just zip ties and running em whereever it works.

I'm running 8.5 in the non stock location, the only way they survive is with the fiberglass boots.

Same same. Had MSD's but some of them didn't Ohm out well this time around. We installed a set of Taylor's and did some very creative and careful routing, using about a dozen zip ties and going through motor mount on the driver's side.

glad to see someone else running a similar route. I stole the idea from a friend and couldn't be happier. much easier and less time consuming to route and haven't had a single burnt wire problem since unlike before when I attempted to use stock routing.

Either of you have some photos of those routings? I have mine tore apart right now doing plugs (see topic "Spark plug reading time" LOL just posted) and I would love to see some good ideas on routing.

Wow im suprised about the comments this has gotten. and so far not a single fight! lol amazing!

Im not sure if i want to go with MSD 8.5 wires again or not. The boots always gave me a hard time with going onto the opti/plugs. i was leaning more towards the taylor/moroso/jegs wires
