If you leave the hole there it is nothing but an obstruction to the flow from the monoblade.

For it to function properly it needs to be sealed to the IAC passages which the monoblade just dumps behind the blades anyway.

It is not a matter of "liking" the part, it is a matter of a $460 part that is documented to be a step in the wrong direction even by magazines known to fudge the data in favor of advertisers.
The full Edelcrap LT4 package is good for less flywheel HP than a proper ported heads untouched stock intake custom cam LT1 makes at the tire. The only decent piece they offer is the TB and it has issues as do all non-stock TBs.

I did this a while back and it's working good. The IAC passage for my monoblade is larger than -4AN fittings so I didn't want to make it smaller. My goal was to use -6AN fittings/lines instead of -4AN, which made it tricky to find enough space to fit it under there but I managed. I siliconed shut the existing IAC passage making my modified path the only passage of air.

I am not the one that started the Edelcrap bashing, I just explained it.

Paint doesn't make a car fast and my technical knowledge means I don't need to resort to personal attacks.

I went to one national event, that was enough for me. My old setup was the second fastest NA qualifier, that hurt a lot of feelings of guys who spent a LOT more on engines and trailered there only to have my junkyard shortblock ported GM castings be quicker and faster.

The fastest NA car was a solid roller stroker who buys parts the same place I do.

Ok, well I would love to learn more from you, so if you could show up to the shootout in KY.... I would be honored.

Maybe we could go shopping together and buy parts at the same store.
