If you're starting from scratch using new components, you're looking around $2000.

LS1 and LT1 cars use entirely different ignition systems - literally ZERO parts are interchangeable.

And what is a "camaro corvette?" Yes you would use the coils, but you need a ton of additional components. I suggest you peruse the link I posted to see what is involved.

There is also the LTCC conversion, which I am considering. I got my hands on a set of LS coils, brackets, and wires last week.

It's pretty sad that one could damn near do an ls1 swap for what they want for the PCM/coil system swap... $500 for a couple of stupid billet wheels and a couple of cheap sensors ...greedy *******, I found a supplier that will build a harness for half what they ask and a flashed base tuned PCM for what they ask for one not ready to drive to a tuner

Remember this system still uses the LT1 PCM and requires a functioning optical sensor in the optispark. It is not a complete optispark replacement system, which is what the OP is looking for.

Just putting it out there. Figured it would give him some more options to look into.

That's their price, yea its not the cheapest route. $525 is all you really have to get from them. You will still need to get the coils, repin the harness, get a 96-97 cover, and an LS1 computer. You will have to get it tuned regardless of which route you take. Their timing cover lets you run a double roller so that is the only other piece that you might buy from them.

Apples vs Oranges

You are comparing new, high quality, products/services to used, DIY quality, products/services. And you bring vulgar talk into the forum for emphasis. Nice.

If you get the LS1 Coils try to find the early circle ones from the Trucks with the Heat Fins on them..they are stronger.

I could swap a LS1 into one of these cars for under $2k..

Prob after the 383,H/C,trans & rear end lol... If ur asking about the supplier , no the harness isn't a hacked DIY piece of crap , it's just as good as their^^ high priced apples .it's wrapped in wire loom plug and play for around 300, and the orange PCM is based tuned for 100..got the timing cover already got coils.. I'm on a power searching kick right now though.

So idk where wildside got his information from but I havent compared what I could get elsewhere as being "used or DIY " it's just as new stuff just as good , AND ready to run ..their just not as greedy ..

I stroke the checks for the new connectors, terminals, seals, wire, tooling, and so on. That makes my information 100% sure that a $300.00 harness is used supplies. New loom on a 14 year old harness does not make the harness new or just as good as new.

If you are okay with used, then that's fine, but don't compare apples to oranges and criticize the cost of an all new product and call it greed. There's no place for that.

For $2000 you might as well do an entire ls1 swap.

First and formost congrats for for what u have accomplished... The more I think about it the cheaper just swapping the motor becomes.. So my message is this... Take it how you want.. It's nice to live high on the hog,
Become more realistic with the pricing, bring that profit down to paying the bills and your
pocket And you'll sell more...seems hard to have to buy someone a boat or a motorcycle just
to upgrade ones ignition
the reality of the situation is that soon enough ls1s Will be had in the high $1000 dollar range,
and whole cars in the $5000 range... Where will that make the price point then? Unsellable?..
Sell cheap sell fast while you still can.. We both know it really doesn't take $600+ bucks to put
a harness together .. Anyhow been awhile since I looked but heres the link, doesn't look
used.. Matter of fact it says "built from scratch" ...

http://www.sspwiring.com/LS1_Wiring_Harness.php .... Is it a deal ?.. U be the
judge ...my intent is to only help my fellow enthusiast ... Not hurt
If I save a buck buying it at walmart... So be it
