Default Help me pleeeeeease!!!!

i just bought a 95 T/A with a 355 LT1...everything is brand new. brand new msd ignition, optispark, fuel pump, plugs, wires, EVERYTHING. i have a major problem...the car start pretty good when cold but then somtimes above 3k (under heavy throttle or not) it sputters, hesitates, and then cuts out and completely stalls sometimes and it wont start again for anywhere from 30 seconds to a day later....then other times it runs like a monster and will go sideways in 3rd gear like nothing was ever wrong....i cannot figure out what the hell it could be!!! somebody please help me!

is your water pump starting to lealk and etting into opti spark system. this could cause exactly ehat your explainging. is water pump new too. all you connections clean and tight into opti spark harness in good condition.. first i would check for coolant leak. pressure test and see only take a little water drop to start trouble. 2 is security light commong on at all when driving or whaen it stalls or wont start. 3 scan for theft codes if no coolant leaks. i have seen new parts been bad too. start with the basic stuff and go from there. have you washed the engine any time soon. good luck you will find its a process.

today i did have a problem with a coolant leak....and it was raining when this problem first showed up....the car is always garaged and it sat outside all day at work in the rain then as i was leaving work this problem arose...my first thought was the opti but i'm hesitant to think its the opti seeing as its brand new....the whole thing only has about 2300 miles on it since its build....

i dont know where the leak was from it seemed like it was from the radiator cap itself...work was not done myself it was professionally done...everything was professionally put in....and no no security lights have come on i'll just be driving sometimes and the motor will literally stop running as im doing 70 on the highway (even in gear) and i'll usually have to wait a good time before i can start it again

Is your fuel pressure all in check? Sounds like an issue I was having before with one of my older cars and it turned out the fuel pump wires were shorting themselves out randomly and would do the same "cut out" and sometimes run awesome

You should throw a fuel pressure gage on it an see where it is. If the pump is going bad then you could be going lean. Check it with a gauge not just by pushing the valve on the back of the fuel rail and seeing if it shoots out.

Check O2s, that can be a sign of going into closed loop mode. Otherwise coolant on the opti is never bad. If you have "low res" codes your opti is toast.

I had some similar issues when my ignition switch was going bad, Might want to take a look at it and see if it has any burn marks on it
