Just picked up some NGK TR55's and was wondering what I should gap them to? Cam only car with your normal bolt ons. 226/232 .592/.592 110lsa cam. HP #'s in my sig.

I don't know a whole lot about spark plugs so any help would be appreciated.

Bumping my old thread to ask OPINIONS on what plugs to run. I'm doing a OTVC kit soon and I'm going to change out the plugs. Should I go back to stock? Is there any real benefit for me to run anything else? Maybe a TR6?

Are you still on stock compression? If so, leave TR55s in there, they work great in my cam only setup gapped at 0.045. If you bumper the compression over 11:1, then i'd go TR6.

Yeah still stock compression. Do you think there is much of a difference between the TR55's and factory Delco plugs? NGK's are cheaper so I'll probably get a new set of those.

For a .035 gap TR5 NGKs or R44LTS for A/C Delco on the bottle & if your off gap em to .040 or .045 I went with the R44LTS plugs after a set of TR55s fouled out with a Fat condition I had to chase down... Biggest reason I went with those is the NGKs that were in stock had the screw on caps instead of solid ones... The TR55s were factory gapped at .065 & in My opinion thats harder on the Ole Opti!!!
