It is powdercoat. the oil pan and water pump are powdercoated the same color.
That is one reason why I went with the cc306. Its a mean n/a cam and responds very well to nitrous.

Here is a pic of the fuel rail cover that I fabbed up for coil mounting...

haha, i changed my mind on the coil mounting. I got the passenger side done, Ill finish up tomorrow. I have to offset the ones on the driver side for the oil fill and breather holes. I wouldnt have to do this if I had ls2 coils. Its just everyone wants an arm and a leg for ls2 coils. here are some pics

I ended up changing the coils that I was using from the ls1 to the 5.3 square truck coils. The ls1 coils were way to wide to get to fit anywhere without mounting them vertically. So here are my coils, brackets, and harnesses....

That is completely incorrect. A friend had them, they are reliable but they don't make any power.

Well the heads look great, we will see what they make. Thats who I was told done the heads. I had A LOT of experienced people look at the heads and had nothing but good things to say. I didnt have then flowed, but I did have them cc'd. I dont see how they could "not make any power". It seems that you are always negative of anything other than the big name stuff. I'm sure you will have egg on your face real soon, and ill make sure to update the thread to let everyone know.

After looking at another thread I found that mine are not CNC Cylinder heads. This pic shows how they mark their heads. Mine are cnc, but have no name marked on them. Ill have to post up some pics of the ends and maybe someone will know. This is how they mark their heads.

mine are marked with a JR and a 36

Default Been a while

alright guys I know its been a while, but Ive been busy with work. I tweaked the coil brackets and the harness also. I made the wires and started mocking up the accessories. I also started on the nitrous solenoids bracket/map sensor cover. There are also some pics of some parts Ive gotten in over the past little bit. I also sanded and painted my nitrous bottle and added a billet ****.

Yeah, im not a big fan of delteq. Im super stoked about the conversion. Ive had two guys interested in my coil brackets too. Ive been selling them to board members for 80 bucks shipped, they are all stainless and aluminum. Thats less than half the price of some other brackets being sold.

Wow thanks for the information!!
I was not aware that such technology even existed. When I pull my motor for head and cam install i will def be doing this mod.
On their website it seemed kinda pricey...but i guess its worth it for $500 opti's.

Small update today. I have been working my *** off on my harness, I didnt only just repin it - I also replaced 90% of the wire. I replaced several plastic connectors and re terminated everything. Ill get pics of that up once I finish looming and mocking everything up. I got my last two gauges in today so I figured I would finish that. I also got the isolator and gauge line installed. Excuse the mess in the engine bay, Ill have to clean everything up here in the next couple days before the engine makes it back in.

Possibly a stupid question but what is the blue thing next to your master cylinder. Nice build you got going I love these engines but the one thing that ruins the looks of the engines is the accessory drive bracket.

It is a fuel pressure isolator. There is a diaphragm inside that separates the fuel from the gauge side so you can run a manual gauge inside the vehicle cabin. The engine side of the isolator is filled with fuel, and the gauge side of the isolator is filled with 50/50 antifreeze mix.

That is sort of what I thought it was for but was not sure. I was laking on all of the details as you explained though. Keep up the good work and I can't wait to see you beat that KB.
