Valve seals are possible, as are intake gaskets,, rings/pistons, irresponsibly ported heads can even suck oil through an overly thin port wall. Lack of sealer on the intake rocker studs could even do it

thats my first guess.......and for $30 and an afternoon of work its worth a shot....IMO
yep......my port walls break into a few of my rocker bolt holes.......something like that could do it but i dont think it would burn THAT much...........rings could happen but i would say there is another issue at that point.........im leaning towards intake gaskets or valve seals.....

You can really mess up the install, and loose a bit of oil out of the china rails and the bottom of the intake runners is right there in the in the lifter valley. Likely no, but I've seen it done.
