My stock exhaust is just too quiet. I like being able to hear my car and enjoy the sound. I'm leaning toward using the hooker, but haven't been able to find any videos using the aerochamber with stock manifolds and converter. Anyone out there have such a setup or a recomendation other than magnaflow?

I like hookers, the aerochamber is one of the more quiet exhaust setups though.
Depending on how loud you want it, the Flowmaster 10's sound great but thats on cammed cars, Iv heard the super 44 sounds good on stock cars aswell.

If you are just changing the muffler right now and are not going to get a whole catback or go duals, I definitly recommend the Flowtech Afterburner. It is pretty loud on my stock car but in sixth gear cruising I can barely hear it. They are supposed to flow a lot better than a flowmaster and dont have any of the drone flowmasters are famous for. They are similar to the flowmaster design but use one big chamber with no baffle. It also has louvered flow tubes on the intake and exhaust exits like a GMMG muffler has.
Its probably my favorite muffler Ive ran. Ive ran spiral flows, 1 chambers, flowmaster 80, and Pypes racepro. Its very deep and doesnt have any rasp at all. I know a guy that was running a hooker catback and my car is louder than his throughout all rpms, but are both pretty quiet idling. When I get longtubes though, Im scared it may get too loud.

I've installed hooker aerochambers (and several other combos) on all three of my fbodies.
It is by far my favorite sound for these cars. Stock or otherwise.
In fact, I have two mounted under my right now

you know, it's interesting, the Flowtech Afterburner is another muffler I was considering, but I found even fewer videos of it than of the Hooker. I know everyone recommends Magnaflow, but my friend has one on his stock camaro and I swear it seems quiter than my stock exhaust. It has a good deep tone, but no volume.

I put the Hooker catback on mine with otherwise stock exhaust. It's perfect to me. It has a mean but subdued idle, sounds deep and muscular and speaks up under acceleration, but no highway drone at 55+ cruising. Just a nice rumble to remind you that you are in a muscle car. I've had it for 2 years with no issues. Like someone mentioned above, there are those who report that it starts rattling after a while. I have a feeling that those may be ones whose cats may be getting old an blowing the ceramic pieces into the muffler. Chamber mufflers tend to rattle when they get stuff in them. Just my theory, I have no proof. But mine still sounds great. No video though.

i put a aero chamber muffler in an otherwise completely stock car and it was way to quiet still. i then got a 2.5" stainless electric dump off ebay for $100 or less maybe and it was the answer. combining the two made for a great cheap setup. however in hinesight, save up for some ebay headers. they barely cost more and can be ran with the y-pipe that comes with them with a bullet and turndown.

Well, I decided to go with a Goelich Xlerator muffler. The owner of the shop I work at said to try it and If I wasn't happy with it we'd swap it out. He was right- it sounds great! It's basically the same as a Flowmaster 40 but it flows alot better. I'll try to post some videos up of it.

My setup is Pacesetter longtubes, 3" offroad ypipe, and magnaflow catback. I love it, I never heard it when it had manifolds though, bought it with the catback but no manifolds. I would guess it would sound awesome though, subtle at idle with a little growl. Then when its past 2000rpm it really opens up. Expensive exhaust but worth it IMO

I wouldn't buy another hooker product again after personally seeing their quality go to **** on a hooker ls1 catback and their y-pipe. And I'm not alone either...
