Default What do you think i should run?

So i have an automatic 97 camaro with stock crank, stock heads, stock pistons, cc503 cam, 1.6 7/16 full roller rocker arms, hardened pushrods, pacesetter LT headers, x-pipe, dynomax race bullit mufflers, descreened maf, cai, air foil, nitrous works 150 wet shot, msd plug wires, ac compressor removed along with the back seats, mickey thompson et street radials, 3.73 gears, 2500 stall, UMI LCA, SFC, adjustable torque arm, eibach drag launch springs, competition engineering rear shocks. My question is what do you guys think it will run in the 1/4 mile with the nitrous and without the nitrous?

Thanks

13.1 on motor, 11.7 on spray. I hope it runs better, but I think the converter is a bit on the tight side for good motor passes, but should pull strong with the extra 150hp.

Make sure to post up your times

I hope you run better than a 12.6 on motor. My a4 ls1 formula ran 12.6 with only a lid, tune, and pacesetter longtubes.

You should run 12.0x's on motor, but you'll need more converter.

Your 2500 stall is most likely a 11in. converter swapping to a 3600 9.5 will give you better et and mph!!! the 9.5 in converters are about 12lbs lighter then the 11in, it reallys helps with how fast the motor revs and it really helps cushing the shifts prolonging a trans lift if you have a good cooler that is.

I went from a stock stall to a 2800 9.5 in.. went from 12.7@109 to a 12.2@ 111

Later I did heads and cam went from a 2800 9.5 in to a 3600 9.5 in... Times dropped from 11.7 @ 115 to 11.5 @ 115 spinning

Throw some heads on and you'll get into the low 11s high 10s depending on DA. I think 11.50 on the spray is a pretty good goal if you hook and all goes well. I'm hoping for 11.80s on my cam only Formy with a 150 shot.

Bragging about trap speeds on a stock stall is lame.

So is comparing trap speeds across the country for that matter...

take it to GLD and run it. come back with some baseline info so you have something. I'm guessing 108-110 at GLD

i went 11:60's @ 118 with very similar stuff...3:73's, nitrous works 150 wet, hooker LT's, 1.6 rr's, 52mm tb, tci 3000, m/t 275/50/17 dr's, msd digital 6, stock tune, completly stock heads cam and bottom end. not sure what the d/a was. a bigger convertor would have definetly helped. the race weight was around 3550.
