This was my first cam in my car. Mild, to say the least, but certainly woke my car up with a few supporting mods. My goals then were to pass CA emissions testing legally, and it did that.

A decade plus ago everyone mistakenly thought injection needed very wide LSAs, these days most of the fast NA cars are running say 107-110LSA, not the best for emissions but good for power. With a cam as small as the 305 though it should pass emissions on a 112, 114 is going the wrong way.
I didn't watch the videos but I imagine it would sound pretty darn stock and if you raised the idle a little could sound dead stock.

I don't know much about turbo cam design but I think they like wide LSA. Wonder if it would be a good fit for such a thing?

That is what this is cam is on.
Motor was done in 2001 and had to pass Ontario smog, which is a bitch. Pushed a 3850 lb cast crank (OMG!!) 383ci to 137 mph in the 1/4 mile. For what I knew 10 years ago it has worked out. Made 600rw or so with 10 psi.
No doubt there are better cams now.

The cc305 comes off the shelf with a 114LSA. I went with it because it didn't require a stall, gears, etc. It's got 15+ duration over stock and .060" more lift w/1.5RR so of course it will perform better than stock. Are there better cams out there? Sure, but this is a good budget cam that doesn't require $thousands worth of supporting mods. Don't get discouraged by the comments. It's a good reliable sleeper cam that won't give you idle problems. If you wanted an all out agressive cam to make power to 6500 then you should have told me and I wouldn't have recommended you buying it from me. Put it in there with 1.6s and you'll be happy with it. Or sell it and go more agressive. You'll be able to get what you spent out of it, I had several people wanting to buy it.

Here is a burnout video of when it was in my car on a bone stock tune, headers, ory pipe, stock catback and flowmaster muffler. Not much idleing going on but still sounds pretty good imo.

"doesn't require a stall" is a joke, the stock cam loves a 32-3600 stall.

I loved my cc305 144lsa cam back in the early 2000's, instant power curve that peaked quick and was fun to daily drive for 6-7 years. I do agree that it really woke up about 3500-4000rpm's and imagine a more modern smallish cam would come on quicker and stay there longer. All in all I still crushed cars with bigger cams because of the total package and quick power band so I loved it regardless if the gm847 and cc306 was my buyers remorse about the cc305.

Over a decade ago I had a cc305 in my LT1 with the 114 (i think it only came in a 114 LS) but it had a nice drumbeat idle. It also trapped in the 112 mph range.(3000 stall, 3.73s, longtubes.) it was fun, but there is much better now.

A good example of this: I installed this exact cam (CC305 on a 114LSA) in my car back in 2002 while still running the stock stall. Keeping the stock stall was a HUGE mistake, the car was a dog off the line. I installed an EDGE 3400 stall and went from 13.00@108 1/4 mile times to 12.3@110 just with the stall.

Here's a pretty similar one. 218/230, .528/.544, 114 LSA:

Car is a 383 though. But it definitely makes a clearly defined lope (horse gallop) in closed loop.
