trans or rear end? what blew up i have a 94 Z28 A4 and was driving it to work this morning i was pulling out onto another road and jumped on it the car jerked really bad made a really loud clunking noise and the abs light came on. i kept driving everytime it shifted it made a clunking noise i slowed down to like 5mph then went to go speed up again and the car is reving up and not moving very fast. it does seem to help if i shift it into first instead of having it in drive. any thoughts?

Judging by the ABS light coming on it sounds like something in the rear popped, but you say it's slow to accelerate as well? That would indicate something internal in the transmission. I'd start by pulling off the differential cover. Even better though, have the BCM scanned for ABS codes - that will help pinpoint exactly why the ABS light came on.
