The Camaro SS, Firebird Firehawk; and WS6s, all with "Ram Air" hoods, were rated at 305 HP. The "standard", non ram air models, were rated at 285.

I dyno'd 231 stock. 97 TA. 285 sounds about right for 18% A4 drivetrain loss.

OP do yourself a favor, don't get caught up in dyno numbers. You're setting yourself up for disappointment.

MOST stock A4s will dyno 230-240
MOST stock M6s will dyno 250-260

Obviously there will be exceptions above and below.

My car 93' Formula M6 put down 280/312 on the dyno with only a ram air box and the muffler cut off. And my buddys' 94 Z28 A4 put down 248/275 with LT's, LM1, !A/C,3:73s, and functional SS hood. Both on the same dyno back to back. I thought that was interesting.

Originally the non SLP cars were rated at 275hp, but if I'm not mistaken, because the OBDII/96-97 models came with a dual catalytic converter y-pipe it gave a reported gain 10hp to a final 285hp. The 96 and 97 SLP cars with "ram air" and 3" exhaust is what gave a 305hp rating.

My car dyno'd 243rwhp stock thru a six speed so you aren't too far for me.

Normally I don't agree with much of what you say, but you are right about this.

Mine was 274/307 when it was stock on a dynojet.

SLP WS6 cars had stock exhaust but had the oval Comp TA tips. I thought the 2OTL cars were 310-315hp?

That's correct, as the OP was referring to 96/97 cars......

The Corvette was rated at 300hp. The Camaro/Trans Am was rated at 275-285hp. They all made a little over 300hp. They just gave the Corvette a 300hp rating so it could stay superior over the F-body.
