Default Difference between 95 lt1 vs 97 lt1

I have a 95 lt1 for sale and someone who has a 97 camaro wants to buy but I am not for sure if there are any differnce in the shortblock .Mine doesnt have heads or anything just shortblock?

it should be the same block the only difference between the two is the 97 timing chain cover has a crank sensor.

The only other difference is that a 95 is obd1 and the 97 is obd2. Now the block is the same, but the knock sensor that is attached to the block is different, so it must be swapped out also keeping the obd2 knock sensor with the engine going into the 97. Those are the only two differences I know.

Not sure about the sensors but I know mine is a 95 and already wired OBDII. It was built in late 95 so they started useing the new design on it.

95 is still OBDI, but the connection is an OBDII.. weird. i know

IIRC, connecting rods and push rods are different.

The 96-97 crank key is different to accomodate the misfire reluctor.

Heads are different; 92-95 heads are better for porting

Crank sensor

95 is OBD1 with OBD2 connector. OBD2 cars have rear O2s, OBD1 cars don't

AIR/EVAP stuff is slightly different

97s have 2 cats, 95s have 1 cat (unless the 95 is an A4 from CA, then it has 2).

95s have hardened pushrods. 97s do not.
