Local LT1 Stock Eliminator Car

Yes, that is correct. Sam couldn't believe that an LT1 could run like that. He wasn't the only one. Jeff Atkinson thought I had an LS1 until I raised the hood in the lanes.
My cam pin snapped at the end of the track. I fixed it the next day, but it kept me from running the finals. I was pretty disappointed. I had Brenda covered by quite a bit. I am pretty sure the square lobe cams is what is so hard on the pins, but I have a solution to keep that from happening again.

Big congrats on winning your first NHRA National event this weekend. For those that don't know Kyle won Stock Eliminator at the NHRA Summernationals at Topeka this weekend. The car ran great and Kyle killed the tree all weekend. Good job representing the LT1 crowd.

Thanks for the kind words Frank. It surprised a few that I am running an LT1 instead of an LS1, but I am kind of fond of the "underdog" motor. It was my first National Event win. I also won Class Eliminations on Saturday in C/SA. I got a little Wally and a big Wally.
It was a good weekend.

Awesome wins....you deserve to be proud. That's a great wheelstand shot!! This may be common knowledge for everyone else, but why do all the stockers swap to the LS1 front clip?
