Default LPP y-pipe doesn't fit right

I had the local speed shop put on the second batch LPP long tubes & ORY for me a few days ago.

They said the drivers side header went on easy but the passenger side was a PITA. They also couldn't get the ORY to fit right because the passenger side header points slightly upwards. Looking under the car, you can clearly see it.

Has anyone encountered the same problem? I'm actually headed for the exhaust shop next Thursday, should I be prepared to have them make a new ORY?

Mine did not fit right either and forget about bending it, its just too strong. Put a relief cut with a sawzall in the pipe then bend it and weld the cut back solid. Thats the only easy way to bend it.

I've installed two sets of LPPs. At first glance it looks like they won't fit because they're pointed upwards, but after some gentle coaxing they went in just fine.

Any chance you have stock motor mounts, or have you replaced them recently?

just shove the pos on there it will fit just fine. I kept the one clamp holding the Y together loose so I could adjust it to fit on the headers first.

Thanks for the advice.

Brand new poly motor mounts.

I doubt anyone cares, but I eventually got it to fit. Took me quite a while to be honest lol. Then I had the exhaust shop make a new I-pipe to connect the cat-back to the ORY. Man, talk about a different sounding car! First WOT = instant boner. I also had them put a cut out right before the axle.

I'll probably get a soundclip up in a few days. I never found a good video on youtube that shows how a stock LT1 with lt's and a Hooker Aerochamber sounds.
