So I have a lt4 stroked out 396. it has lt4 intake with 42lb injectors and ASM mono blade. also is machined for a dizzy if wanted to go that route. heres my dilemma. i dont need emmisions as motor is in a 72 camaro and utah law doesnt require it for my vintage tags. Is it worth all the headache and tuning issues to stay with EFI or would I actually be better off going a carb, dizzy, and ditch the whole computer tuning and efi all together. reason being i blew up my computer trying to load a tune and its been nothing but a pain to try and get this motor tuned good enough to drive. just wanting the pros and cons of both setups so I can decide which direction to go now that Im out a pcm.

Get a Super Victor and either have it modded to fit the LT4 bolt pattern or have the heads modded for the standard sbc intake bolt pattern. Here are some pics of my new setup so you can see what I'm talking about.

I ran my 396 on the engine dyno last month, with a GM carb manifold and a Holley 770(pigrich out of the box). Used a Bridgeport for the intake holes.
Longtubes and A/C, Nice. I took mine out since I never use it.

I may have one that i may want to sell. How can you tell the difference between that one and the one for the LT1? i have AFR 210 heads which use the LT4 port layout and a carb intake....... When i pull it off ill measure the port for you if your interested in the intake.

Looks like he has a very nice build going on, not your typical cookie-cutter LTx
