I think I spun a Bearing?
I've just developed this aweful sounding squeal, like a bearing is siezing up. You know the sound a freight train wheel makes going by that has no oil. It's only at idle and sounds internal. I checked for loose TC bolts and removed the accessory belt. It's loudest at idle and goes away when you rev it a bit. Oil pressure at startup is fine. I haven't driven the car since I noticed it and afraid to keep starting it. Does this sound like the beginning of a rod bearing starting to go? Stock short block 81k miles and I've been spinning it to 65-6700 for the last four years.

Could be the bearings in the water pump going bad. Check to see if any coolant is leaking out of the weephole. I would also suggest taking it off and starting the engine for a few seconds...

How’s the oil look? Clean? Check the oil/filter for debris and pull a valve cover and check for metal flakes. When I spun a main (which caused a rod bearing to go out) there was a lot of metal in the oil and was easy to see once with a valve cover off because some of it settled in the counter bores for the head bolts. I wouldn’t keep starting the engine, if you already have damage you could do more damage to the block/main caps if you wanted to reuse them in a rebuild.

first thing id do is pull the belt off the motor and start it for a few seconds ...........if it still makes the noise id start pulling things apart......spun bearings usually wont cause NO oil pressure.......they will exhibit rapidly fluctuating oil pressure before they completely fail.........

... and I suppose you have already verified it is not making noise. As stated, check the oil. I would start by pulling the timing cover to see if there's anything going on there. Probably want to invest in an engine stethoscope. Handy little things.
Already been done. Try and keep up.

Years ago I way overreved mine at the track sfifting out of 3rd at around 6200 and hit 2nd On the way home motor started making an awful metallic grinding noise. Shut it off and towed it home. It turned out that the retainer plate came off on the two lifters on the #1 cyl, the lifters both turned sideways and the roller tips ground into the camn pretty good. Needed a new cam and two new lifters in the end. It sounded like major damage at the time, I was thinking spun bearing by the sound if it, luckily it wasn't. Something to check, possibly may be your problem.
