I would replace that water pump as soon as you can if it is leaking. If you don't you will also be replacing the optispark as well.

Okay, got six bolts off the old water pump...I'm assuming the other two holes(on the back) are for alignment? Having a hard time getting the pump out, not a lot of room to pull it forward off the gear thingy. To dark to keep trying, so I will try again tomorrow.

Yea there is only 6 bolts holding the water pump on, if you have to get more room you can always take out the electric fans.

Yes, I put it back together & put the coil wire back on, Now I will prolly have to take it all out again I wonder if the coil wire is bad, I suppose all the overheating could cause a lot of problems with the wires too....

luckily that mount spot dont matter really. so still no fire huh? did you cover the opti with like a plastic bag or anything to prevent water from getting in it while removing pump? did that much spill on it? i wouldnt think it would happen but ive seen worse happen. you might wanna try to let it dry out for a day and try firing tomrorow?

creative lol.............so did you figure this thing out?? make sure the ICM is still plugged in and also the grounds on the front of the cylinder head are still hooked up........check the opti harness and make sure its still plugged in...........if thats all good its possible that you gave the opti a little coolant bath in the process of yanking the pump.........opti's dont like taking baths lol
