How do I really know if the optispark is bad unless I replace it and see if it fixes the problem...I am about to replace it with a new one...I took everything back off and checked to make sure all the wires were right...I also checked the belt to make sure I put it on right since I decided to change it while the pump was off. I hope the new optispark is all it needs, I didn't have this problem with my other Camaro when the pump went out but of course the pump wasn't leaking. My girl hands are tired lol

AH HA!!!! THEY ARENT GLOVES!
you can check optis but you gotta check pulse rate or something. not exactly sure how to do it. whered you get your new opti? opti replacement after 100k is never really a bad thing or a waste of money... but i also believe its not broke dont fix it but it sounds like your opti getting wet killed it like water has done many times to others
