The Lt1 engine is not too heavy if they get away with iron headed 502s that only make 375hp or so. We saw an airboat with 5 454s on it and a crane so anythings possible.

If you are using an aluminum headed (fbody lt1) than it will be considerably lighter than any other sbc you could bolt up to it. I live in airboat country and I have seen many a big block on them. The weight of an LT1 is a non issue.

ALSO going back to the discussion before it became a pissing match, any of those cams, including the stock cam fit what you need. The forces of turning a prop are much less than pushing a 4k vehicle down the road. GET R DONE!
