Competition Clutch Pedal Feeling

Competition Clutch Pedal Feeling
My clutch got installed last night (competition clutch stage 2.5) and I was wondering if the pedal feels right. I know no one can really say without feeling it themselves so I will describe it as best I can. The stock clutch pedal had a much firmer feel, and seemed like the pedal came back towards me farther. This competition clutch feels like the pedal rests closer to the floor and is a bit mushier. Just wondered if this was usual and fine or if there is something that needs to be adjusted. The fluid is topped off and everything was put back together just as it came apart. Thanks in advance for the responses!

It could be just he way the PP pulls. If it is indeed engaging closer to the floor you want to make sure the clutch is not dragging. If that happens you may end up with worn syncros before long.
One way you can tell is put trans in neutral, push clutch in and try to put into gear. If car wants to lurch forward then it's dragging. Other signs is if it's hard to shift into any gear and especially hard to get into reverse.

Does your car have a clutch over center spring? It's under the dash if it has one. If it had one and it's come off the clutch will feel very different. I'm almost sure they have one from the factory, but for some unknown reason people remove them??

My Competition Clutch Stage 2 has roughly the same firmness as stock (maybe a little firmer) and it engages at the very top of the pedal. It drives like stock as far as I can remember (haven't driven a F-body with a stock clutch in years).

The site I ordered from is not a sponsor and they don't even have it listed in their inventory anymore. I paid $285 for it IIRC.

I assumed straight from CC would be the best place to order them.. but i guess not

Lol nope! There are better places. Where I bought mine from had free shipping and in order to get that price I had to find a coupon code, but it saved me 10% when I did find it. is your friend

Ive got the 2.0, and when I first installed it I had a hard time slipping it. It was kind of like an on/off switch like people run in race-cars. It also had pretty bad clutch chatter in 1st and reverse. I thought the directions recommmended a 500 mile break in but Im not sure. I gave mine a little over 500 miles. After the break in period my clutch now has zero chatter and feels EXACTLY like stock. Im very happy with it. I got mine directly from Competition Clutch because they are local to me. I paid $288.

I have noticed when cold the clutch chatters in first. It chatters in reverse cold or hot, but seems to have gotten better just in the 50 miles I put on it yesterday.
