Cam Suggestions

94 Z28 getting a rebuild. #4 rod spun a bearing after 291k. Plans are for the motor new stock crank, some eagle rods..pistons still good..no ring groove!, ported heads and intake and a tune but not sure on what size cam im looking for. Its a street car that will get driven almost daily and looking at 150 shot or so at the track. The cc305 is what im thinking but would like some reassurance this would work with the mods stated. Gears and stall will be figured out once I choose the cam. Suggestions please and thank you!

i wouldn't reuse the pistons if your going thru all the trouble to rebuild it.. thats my opinion.

As for the cam i would talk to Lloyd elliot or AI and tell them what your looking for and they will have better options for you than an off the shelf cam.

OP, do not use the stock pistons in that application you WILL have issues espically on spray. As for the top end if you are looking for a nice efficent top end the AI 190cc Ported stock casting and a nice 226/234 cam is your ticket........
