Default Just got my first camaro

Hey everyone I just got my first camaro. Its a 94 with a 383 lt1 6 speed. I live in southeast texas and was wondering where a shop is around me that knows their stuff when it comes to the lt1. Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the f-body world, welcome to the site as well. Careful tho. plenty of ls1-loving members here will say you should swap ur lt1 for an ls1.

If you haven't already, you can post in the local forum as well.

Thanks for the welcome. As far as work goes, just if i wanted to add n2o to my ride they could set it up and make sure the tune would be correct and since i bought it used if i had any trouble with it they could do some troubleshooting. As far as swapping to an ls1 that probably wont happen i couldnt be happier with my lt1. It pulls hard, supposed to have 525 hp, but only a dyno will tell that. lol. And ss rrr thanks for the texas members link.

What sort of mods does it have other than 383 stoker crank? 525hp is a not sufficient power level for ya? lol Hopefully it's a forged crank/pistons not cast or nitrous on top of a 525hp NA motor is going to find a weak spot quickly. Good luck by the way.

Well im not sure of all the other mods that it has. But my buddy has an 11 second mustang and we were just playing around and the two cars couldnt be more even. He would pull ahead a little and shift then i would pull ahead a little and have to shift then he would pull ahead...ect. but once we hit about 120ish i would walk away from him. Anyway the car is plenty fast but whats the fun in that, I got to 1 up him. lol. Thats what friends are for. Besides, i see under the car where it looks like a aux. fuel pump was mounted. So it may have already had nitrous. If i find a weak spot that just means i get to upgrade. lol

why go big block when you can have that cubic in with a small block. ie....ls7,lsx block.....
high 11's or low 11's could still be at the 525 mark, depends on 60' esp with a stick.
i had a lt1 383....loved the sound. if i could find that car again id buy it back in a heart beat.

Or ever see an NA small block trap 211.69mph @ 2400lbs on 100 octane, carbed and 500ci?

If i could drop a BBC in mine without a ton of chassis modification I would.

What in the heck is going on in here. lol. I'm probably not going to a big block with this car. I am running a big block in my mud truck and i love it. Maybe if I had a older body style.

No, but I'm willing to watch! Another way of saying, "I'm from Missouri, show me!"

Well instead of talking about big blocks I'll actually give you some help with what you were asking about.

You are in Texas so without a doubt go to Nitrous Outlet to take care of your needs as you want to go spray.

Enjoy the car!
