Was is that the T56s had them? That sounds right. I don't know or care though as I have a 97 with 3.42s.

Not sure, but the 93s also had the other transmission. 700r4 I think it was?

This is what I found...

Borg-Warner T56:

1993 3.36 2.07 1.35 1.00 0.80 0.62 (std)
1993 2.97 2.07 1.43 1.00 0.80 0.62 (G92)
1994 2.66 1.78 1.30 1.00 0.74 0.50
1995 2.66 1.78 1.30 1.00 0.74 0.50

The 1993 was a highly coveted trans for drag racing because of its 1st gear ratio, however IIRC it was not as durable as the T56's to follow.

FWIW my brothers 1993 6 speed Z28 has 3.23's... But his transmission is geared lower. He runs at a higher RPM at 70 than I do and I have the 3.42 option.

Hey, i'm not out to prove anything or disprove, but i had 3.08's. end of story. Why? who knows! maybe someone f'd up at the plant. or maybe they had a dealership replace them and change the pcm. But my tune was a factory/dealership tune. I don't care about this argument, i was just pointing out that mine wasn't "normal".

You got that part right. It did not come from the factory that way (unless you have the aforementioned proof).
