Roomie's LT1 Fiasco - What's Wrong?

It was assumed that vented opti was the whole deal, not an opti cap. If just the cap, would still work.... if it was an 93 opti it physically will not fill the 96 timing cover hole..... it would be pretty obvious something was wrong when installing it let alone trying to bolt it down.

I'm more curious as to how it got wired up. 96s came with MAF, sequential Fuel Injection, and a crank position sensor, whereas a 93 operates under speed-density and batch FI and thats it. thats just the basics. There has to be somehting wrong in the wiring.

Regarding the cam pin, Porter said he ground this down to fit, and the timing cover was switched. He claims he covered that issue. The intake from the '93 (which I think inside houses the sensors that speed density utilizes) was placed on the '93, the MAF isn't being used. PCM is being used from the '93 as well.

I put a 96 Impala motor in a 94 Formula, no wiring problems.

have you verified spark at each plug? didn't see it mentioned and its the easiest place to start if you haven't already. also triple check the spark plug wire routing
also what did you do about the fuel rail cross over since '93 intakes don't have one?
