Default another first time at the track thread

as the title says, i to got the chance to make a few passes last night for the first time ever. I cant find much to compare my times to because the track is only 1/8th mile so hopefully you guys can give me an idea about how i did. mods are in sig. stock stall and a shitty pair of 255/50/16 goodyear eagle vr1's to boot
best times were:
2.44 - 60ft
9.36 - 1/8th
79.5 mph

High 13s at best. a 2.44 60' needs a LOT of work.

yeek

You need a stall badly, and alot more practice. Im not a cc503 genious but it should be down in the 8.5 range shouldnt it?

ya im finding out that its lookin a little slow. i Definitly need practice... i think the tune is way off as well. its showing knock retard through the whole run that i recorded. one of the turbo lt1 guys said his best run was like 8.1 or 8.2 i think so maybe its just a slow track at high elevation

I can't find any weather data for that track.

it's 1100 or so feet above sea level, but it's cold isn't it? That usually makes for great DA.

Hey! You must have been the one in the Silver with black rims?
I was in the red procharged camaro, and my brother was the black/blue turbo'd 383. You ran really great times, but could defiantly use some sticky tires.

a 9.3 is like 14.5ish in the 1/4 mile. seems pretty slow for what you have done but i dont know your altitude or how other cars tend to run at your track. your running what stock LT1s run, if not a little slower.

Yea that is WAY slow for your mods. A friend of mine has a 95 TA A4 that is stone stock with 2.73 gears at 600' he ran a 9.4 all stock spinning a little. So you should be MUCH faster than him. Get some real tires and go try again and of course a stall wouldn't hurt anything either.

I run a 8.13 @ 83 with bolt-ons. My buddy ran 11.95 with the 503 cam only and his 1/8 was 7.56 @ 90 at 1500 da. Tires, a stall and gears will help tremendously.
