Cross member, way to mount the torque arm and a different drive shaft. Spohn makes a combination cross member, torque arm mount and drive shaft loop. UMI has various mounts too.

fyi just looking at your mod list the car will more than likely slow down with the th400 in it......

Like Al mentioned for mounting it you need a cross member.

If you have a stock torque arm you would like to use or already have an aftermarket torque arm that mounts to the transmission this torque arm relocation kit would be good- www.umiperformance.com/2224

It mounts a TH400 to the 93-97 chassis while also supplying a mount for the torque arm which the TH400 wouldn't have.

If I can help any please ask. Thank you!

I used the BMR mount, but the UMI unit looks nice too.

The TH400 is a power-robbing trans - don't get discouraged when the car slows a bit.

I'm not worried about power robbing because now with the TH400 the car will have nitrous on it now. But what size tailshaft do i need to be able to use the stock driveshaft? what about speedo? I'm am going to make my own crossmember and torque arm mount. i do have an aftermarket one to go in. But as long as it will bolt up and the TH400 converter will work im part of the way there. What about the shifter?

Since most real drag racing has turned to "dial your ET," the benefits of the 400 outweigh the tiny amount you'll give up in ET. A good driver with a 60's close ratio 4 speed and the right rear gear will beat any automatic in the same car if it's slower than 10.50. So what? You use an automatic and dial your ET and be more consistent. The 400 is about the best automatic transmission ever put in a normal car.

Just my opinion after 49 years of drag racing.

I realize that, but the car now runs a 13.7. With the Th400 and nothing else changed, is will be slower - that's a fact. Will it be consistent? Of course it will be. Repeatability is king in bracket racing.

I had to get a new DS, the VSS from an S10 (IIRC) works, and I use a Pro Action Cheetah shifter in my modified console.

I have that Spohn combo TA, its a great piece. Its nice to take the load of the trans especially at the track. It also makes trans removal a much simpler job not having to mess with that pita stock TA mounting bracket.
