A straight pipe with a cat back???

First get bolt ons. Long tubes with no egr, then some 3 inch true duals so it sounds nice. Stall it up if its an auto. If its a 6spd get a good clutch. 3.73s if its an auto, or 4.10s if its a 6spd. Cold air intake (moroso, k&n, slp, etc...). As far as a cam goes you want to either talk to Lloyd Elliott or Advanced Induction. You can also go to them for a heads/cam package if your budget allows. After all of that, either a mail order tune (pcm4less or madz28) is a must. There are other things like throttle bodies and electric water pumps that are optional. After all of this, it you have anything left over, look into getting some aftermarket suspension parts (torque are, lca's w/ relo brackets, springs/shocks, etc...)

Hope that helped...

I did 3" true duals using and modding the summit xpipe kit and 2 dynomax bullets. IMO the best sounding exhaust set up on an lt1...

Before I do any of that stuff I'd do some SOLID preventative maintenance, like plugs, wires, fluid change/flush, filters, etc.

Good deal on the car. What kind of shape is it in? 400 for shipping? You prob would have been better off buying new with the saving from shipping. I would also get a higher stall, youll be bored with a 2800 in no time.

Do all the important fixes before any performance. Do some body work, new tail lights, and regular tune up and then think about performance

I had a 93z with a lt4 hot cam kit, lpps, ebay cai, and stalled 350th. Car ran 12.1 with 1.67 60 foot. No tune. So I wouldn't waste money on throttle body if your not porting heads and running a big cam. Just do free mods normally maint and free up some air coming in.
